attention sneaker freaks!
Mmmm yes purlease!
Creative Recreation was founded in Orange County, California seven years ago – Creative Recreation is the work of designers Rich Cofinco and Robert Nand. Noticing a gap in the market, the pair set out to create a new genre of footwear for young, stylish professionals.
Designs are intended to bridge the gap between the comfort of a trainer and the smarter styling of a dress shoe.
Striving to keep the brand as exclusive as possible, each color and style is produced in runs as small as 90 pairs world wide – so the chances of seeing someone else rocking the same pair of kicks is highly unlikely. Constantly trying to revolutionize footwear style Creative Recreation continue to push the ‘bourgeois sneaker’.

Maharishi takes a bullet but finds a medpack
Here at jello we are massive fans of Hardy blechman and maharishi, so a while back when we heard that they were on the endangered list, we were afraid that they were going to be added to the long list of company’s that are going under in these uncertain times.
Thankfully, due to the use of some hastily applied camo and a move to some appropriate cover the label is not dead!
The spring summer that slopped its way in to the shop in diesel covered boxes (see this post) has provided us with one of the strongest ranges to date. We have just put some on line, come take a peek.
bottle top bag …. Jell-o loves
In July of this year we were impressed with Rubbish Bags, made by a co-operative of Filipino women wanting to clean up their neighbourhood. Now, UK charity Bottletop has teamed up with British brand Fenchurch to bring us the, rather aptly named, Bottletop Fenchurch Bag.
Bottletop fund projects which aim to have a positive impact on young people worldwide, paying particular attention to sexual and reproductive health education. In 2002 they had great success with the Mulberry Bottletop Bag, which was sold in Mulberry stores, and now they’re hoping to repeat this success. The charity has earned itself a wide-ranging fan-base, from Justin Timberlake to Bill Clinton who, quite rightly, called the project “a wonderful and innovative way to stop the spread of deadly disease”. The Fenchurch version is a cross-body bag made entirely from recycled ring pulls and is a mite more unisex than the Mulberry handbag. It’s manufactured in Brazil by a female-based cooperative, as Bottletop are also dedicated to providing incomes to local people. The bag comes in three colours: silver yellow and multi-coloured, and are all £65.00. There is also other products available in the range, clutch bags, wallets, belts to name but a few. But hurry because, as with anything this good, there’s limited availability. For anyone who can’t get their hands on a bag, and doesn’t have a big enough collection of bottle tops to start fashioning their own, an album, ‘Sound Effects of Brazil’, has been made as part of the campaign and it features remixes from Fatboy Slim and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly amongst others. Now in at jell-o. Come in and take a peek!
